What Do Greasy Diners and Marketing Automation Have in Common? Ever feel like a short-order cook at a diner? Sometimes in marketing automation, it feels like we’re just order takers executing someone else’s request. Learn about the overall customer experience through automation. Plus, we have a special fun and lively "Anything you can do I can do better" showcasing Marketo and HubSpot.
Imagine you’re a short-order cook at a diner. From sun up to sun down, you’re slinging burgers, fries, pancakes, waffles and anything else a hungry public craves. Sure, it’s hard work and it feels like it never ends, but you enjoy what you do. After all, making good food to satisfy good people is a reward in its own right.
But a short-order cook is only one part of the entire customer experience at a restaurant. From the hostess, to the waitress, all the way down to the choice of silverware, everything communicates. And if you’re a short-order cook, your job is to stay in the back and just make sure the food is hot, fast and tasty, right?
Not so fast, my friends.
Working in marketing automation can, at times, feel like being a short-order cook. You’re given the ingredients and tools to bring the vision of others to life. But since we sit at the heart of the customer experience, we have insight that others simply do not. So, how do you provide your perspective on the big picture? When do you bring up potential issues? How can you use your insight to help craft the perfect customer experience?
Join us for a special presentation this month with Abel Keogh, head of Marketing Automation for Mountain America Credit Union. With over 15 years of experience working in multiple platforms for large companies across the Salt Lake Valley, Abel will bring his unique perspective on marketing automation to our group and begin to outline how marketing automation not only can influence the customer experience, but can drive that experience to new heights.
As part of our event this month, we’ll also be engaging in a brand new, fun and lively discussion entitled “Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better!”
Ian Shields and Hannah Nodus will be showcasing the highs and lows of Marketo and HubSpot, comparing how well each of the platforms work on various features and functions. This will be a platform agnostic discussion, but will be a lot of fun we pine over things we wish each platform had.
So, mark your calendars for Wednesday, June 7th at 3:30pm for what is sure to be a stimulating discussion you won’t want to miss. It’s our last MUG before the summer break and we wanted to go out with a bang. We hope you’ll join us for a few pre-summer fireworks, marketing automation style.
See you all soon!
